Review of the Previous Edition

The “21st Shanghai International Bag Filter Technology and Equipment Exhibition & Symposium” successfully concluded from November 27-29, 2024, at the Shanghai World Trade Exhibition Hall. This exhibition was technically supported by six authoritative organizations, including the Dust Removal Committee of the China Environmental Protection Industry Association, the Municipal Solid Waste Treatment Committee of the China Environmental Protection Industry Association, Northeastern University, and the Industrial Dust Prevention Committee of the China Occupational Safety and Health Association. The Shanghai Cement Industry Association and other co-organizers facilitated the event.

The exhibition attracted numerous renowned enterprises from home and abroad, with 95 companies from 7 countries and regions, including Italy, Japan, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The exhibition covered an area of 5,000 square meters and drew business visitors from countries and regions such as China, Germany, Japan, the United States, Malaysia, South Africa, Singapore, India, South Korea, Iran, Indonesia, Turkey, Vietnam, Russia, and the Philippines. It is recognized as the only annual event dedicated to the promotion of advanced bag filter technology in the industry.

Historical Overview of the Bag Filter Exhibition

Since its inception in Shanghai in 2002, the Shanghai International Bag Filter Technology and Equipment Exhibition has been held continuously for twenty-one editions. This professional exhibition, unique in its focus on promoting advanced bag filter technology both domestically and internationally, has garnered the support of numerous experts and industry enterprises, earning it a prominent position in the bag filter industry.

Over the past twenty editions, the exhibition has seen participation from over 900 companies from 12 countries and regions, including China (including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province), the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Australia, Sweden, Japan, and South Korea. The exhibits encompassed bag filter main units, filter bags and fabrics, and accessory products and technologies. The event has attracted nearly 10,000 professional visitors from around the world, with an increasing number of equipment purchasers from the UAE, Vietnam, Thailand, India, and Russia in recent years.

Thematic Symposiums and Technical Reports

The exhibition has consistently introduced thematic symposiums addressing the industry’s common concerns and application hotspots, such as:

“Municipal Solid Waste Bag Filter Technology Symposium” (2008, 2010)
“Bag Filter Technology Failure Control Symposium” (2007, 2008)

“Cement Industry Ultra-Low Emission Technology Symposium” (2024)

These symposiums have cumulatively hosted 89 sessions of reports.

The technical report sessions, aimed at promoting new technologies and products, have been a highlight of each exhibition, with a total of 64 sessions and over 400 reports, attracting nearly 10,000 attendees.

Exhibition Scope

Bag Filter Equipment:

Pulse jet bag filters, unit bag filters, silo top bag filters, reverse air bag filters, cartridge bag filters, shaker bag filters, side-in flat bag filters, and hybrid cleaning bag filters.

Filter Media and Bags:

Chemical fiber, glass fiber, blended, ePTFE membrane filter media and other filter media, woven fabrics, needle felts, round bags, flat bags, diamond bags, and filter cartridges.

Accessories:

Ash discharge devices: discharge valves, chain conveyors, humidifiers, granulators, pneumatic conveying, ash silos, vibrators, etc.
Electrical control devices: control instruments, pulse valves, differential pressure gauges, temperature control devices, ash silo heating and insulation devices, ash silo level indicators.
Valve devices: three-way switching valves, off-line valves, mixing valves, explosion-proof valves, butterfly valves, pneumatic valves, etc.
Others: fans, air compressors, oil-water separators, cylinders, electric push rods, seals, etc.

Audience

Prior to the exhibition, the organizing committee will promote the event through domestic and international new media platforms and invite industry professionals from sectors such as power, steel, cement, machinery, waste incineration, carbon black, ceramics, chemical, battery, light industry, tobacco, flour, pharmaceuticals, grain storage, port transportation, coal, non-ferrous metallurgy, fertilizer, oil processing, and road construction. Strategic cooperation with key industry associations and authorities that heavily utilize bag filter equipment, such as those in power, steel, cement, waste incineration, and chemical industries, will also be established to comprehensively promote the exhibition.

The 2025 Shanghai International Bag Filter Technology and Equipment Exhibition will continue to host popular thematic symposiums. This exhibition will serve as the best information window to review and summarize the year’s industrial flue gas treatment issues and industry development status, bringing the latest, most comprehensive, and most valuable technical information to peers and user industries.
