Review of the Previous Event
The “21st Shanghai International Exhibition & Symposium on Baghouse Filtration Technology and Equipment” was successfully concluded from November 27-29, 2024, at the Shanghai World Trade Exhibition Hall. The exhibition received technical guidance and support from six authoritative institutions including the Committee on Dust Removal (CAEPI), the Committee on Municipal Solid Waste Treatment (CAEPI), Northeastern University, and the Committee on Industrial Dust Control (COSHA). Co-organized by the Shanghai Cement Association, the event gathered numerous renowned domestic and international enterprises. A total of 95 companies from 7 countries and regions, including Italy, Japan, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, participated, occupying an exhibition area of 5,000 square meters. The event attracted trade visitors and procurement delegations from various countries and regions including China, Germany, Japan, the USA, Malaysia, South Africa, Singapore, India, Iran, Indonesia, Turkey, Vietnam, Russia, and the Philippines. It is widely recognized as the premier annual event exclusively dedicated to advancing baghouse filtration technology within the industry.

Historical Review of the Baghouse Filtration Exhibition
Since its inception in Shanghai in 2002, the Shanghai International Exhibition on Baghouse Filtration Technology and Equipment has been held consecutively for twenty-one editions. As the only international professional exhibition exclusively focused on promoting advanced baghouse filtration technology, it embodies the dedication of numerous experts and the strong support of industry enterprises, garnering significant attention within the baghouse filtration sector. Over the past twenty editions, the exhibition has cumulatively featured participation from over 900 companies from 12 countries and regions, including China (including Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan Province), the USA, Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Australia, Sweden, Japan, and South Korea. Exhibits have covered baghouse filter hosts, filter bags & filter media, accessories, and related technologies. The event has attracted nearly ten thousand professional visitors from overseas and domestically, with increasing attendance in recent years from equipment purchasers from the UAE, Vietnam, Thailand, India, and Russia.

Addressing hot topics and technical application areas of common industry concern, the exhibition has timely organized specialized symposiums such as: “Symposium on Bag Filtration Technology for Coal-fired Power Plants” (2005, 2009, 2013, 2014), “Symposium on Bag Filtration Technology for Municipal Solid Waste” (2008, 2010), “Symposium on Failure Control of Bag Filtration Technology” (2007, 2008), “Symposium on Industrial Dust Removal and Pollution/Carbon Reduction Technology” (2023), and “Symposium on Ultra-low Emission Technologies for the Cement Industry” (2024). Cumulatively, 89 specialized industry symposium sessions have been held.

Technical presentations aimed at promoting new technologies and products have also been a highlight of each exhibition: a total of 64 sessions have been held, featuring over 400 presentations attended by nearly 10,000 participants.

Baghouse Filters: Pulse-jet bag filters, Unit-type bag filters, Top-entry silo filters, Reverse-air bag filters, Cartridge filters, Shaker bag filters, Side-entry flat bag filters, Hybrid cleaning system bag filters.
Filter Media & Filter Bags: Synthetic fiber, fiberglass, blended fiber, ePTFE membrane laminated media, and other filter media; Woven fabric, needle-punched felt; Round bags, flat bags, pleated bags, filter cartridges.

- Ash Handling Equipment: Discharge valves, chain conveyors, ash conditioners, pelletizers, pneumatic conveying systems, ash hoppers, vibrators.
- Electrical Control Devices: Control panels, solenoid valves (pulse valves), differential pressure gauges, temperature control devices, hopper heating/insulation systems, hopper level indicators.
- Valves: Diverter valves, offline valves, mixing air valves, explosion vent valves, butterfly valves, pneumatic valves.

Prior to the exhibition opening, the organizing committee conducts sustained promotion through domestic and international new media platforms. Invitations are extensively distributed via mailing campaigns, phone calls, email blitzes, and direct visits to industries such as power generation, steel, cement, machinery, waste incineration, carbon black, ceramics, chemicals, batteries, light industry, tobacco, flour milling, pharmaceuticals, grain storage, port terminals, coal, non-ferrous metallurgy, fertilizers, oil processing, and road construction. Strategic partnerships are established with key industry associations and governing bodies related to the primary users of baghouse filtration equipment (e.g., power, steel, cement, waste incineration, chemicals) for comprehensive exhibition promotion.

The 2025 Shanghai International Exhibition on Baghouse Filtration Technology and Equipment will continue to host topical symposiums addressing industry hotspots. This year’s event will serve as the premier information window for reviewing and summarizing the key challenges and latest developments in industrial flue gas treatment throughout the year, delivering the most current, comprehensive, and valuable technical insights to peers and user industries.
